Drug Diversion Settlement

The U.S. Department of Justice (鈥淒OJ鈥) recently announced a $4.1 million settlement with a hospital in Georgia to resolve allegations of failure to provide controls and safeguards against controlled substance diversion in violation of the Controlled Substances Act (鈥淐SA鈥). According to the DOJ鈥檚 press release, this is the largest settlement related to drug diversion in a hospital.
